“Our future, our voice”, “We are the future. Stronger together”. These messages of “equality, belonging, respect, friendship, inclusion” are aimed at youth in the New Lodge, north Belfast.
In the background (of the image below) is a mental health mural also aimed at young people – see Space To Breathe, which also shows the INLA graffiti this mural replaces.

The mural to the left (in the image above) is at the end of a long panel featuring the word “community” in large letters (see 2023’s Cultural Expression) and so it’s possible that it should be taken together with the new panels (shown below) reading “stands” and “together” to give “Community stands together”.
The joining panel (shown above and immediately below) shows new and old buildings of Charter Youth Club (Fb), which has been “serving our community [for] 50 years+”. The building pictured below is the building of the old Linfield Junior Public Elementary (ig) which was later used for the youth club.
Also shown between the words are the emblems of (professional soccer club) Linfield FC (web) and (intermediate club) Sandy Row FC (Fb).

On the third anniversary of his death in in July 2023, a mural has been painted to commemorate Caoımhín Adams in his native Bawnmore (Belfast Media | Belfast Live). Adams died at age eight, shortly after being diagnosed with ROHHAD (rapid-onset obesity with hypothalamic dysregulation, hypoventilation, and autonomic dysregulation), a syndrome without any cure and fatal in more than 50% of cases (WP).

Rathcoole Primary School & Nursery Unit, in Newtownabbey, is a “forest” school (web), meaning that children have regular sessions in woodland or a natural environment (pdf). When not in nature, students at the Nursery Unit – home to hedgehog and squirrel class (RPS&NU) – can be reminded of the outdoors every time they pass by this new mural on the school wall, painted by Visual Waste (web).

“Dream. Love. Strength. Achieve. Life can take you higher than drugs.” New (May 2026) figures from the NI Statistics And Research Agency show 251 drug-related deaths in 2024 in Northern Ireland, most of which (219) are from drug abuse (NISRA). This new wall-painting in the New Lodge encourages young people to turn their backs on drugs and engage in activities suc as aerosol art and mountain-climbing.
