Embedded in the Victoria Street side-wall of St George’s is a 1976 memorial to the people who had died in the Troubles up to that point, with a number for each person, from 1 to 1,500. It was commissioned by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, designed by Robert Ballagh, and made by Stephen Pearce (Belfast Live).
